robin's egg cookies & red rice

i used auntie frances' chocolate chip cookie recipe and chopped up robin's eggs to mix in to make them malty and easter-y.. matt's co-workers (who liked the sugar cookies over the monster cookies) said this one was the best yet.

 under my ugly kitchen fluorescent lights the cookies look more like 80's cookies than easter cookies..

 i need windows in the kitchen!

i also made red rice (w/ brown rice) for the first time for maia papaya the fiesta girl.. turned out well but a little on the wet side.. she ate it up!
